What’s included: Each fixed fee covers reasonable pre-mediation reading time (up to 2 hours), the mediation day itself, and Harvey’s facilitation of the settlement drafting process if terms are reached. Travel expenses may apply for mediations held outside of the mediator’s local area.
Fee basis: The fixed-fee tiers above are intended for standard two-party mediations. Cases involving urgent timetables, substantial reading beyond the usual level, non-monetary relief, or additional separately represented parties may be quoted separately and are subject to specific agreement.
What's Included
-
Pre-mediation reading time
Harvey reads all position statements, key documents, and supporting materials in advance. He arrives on the day already immersed in the dispute.
-
The mediation day
A full day of structured mediation — typically 6 to 10 hours — including the opening plenary, private sessions, negotiation, and reality testing.
-
Settlement agreement drafting
If a settlement is reached, the participants or their solicitors are responsible for drafting the binding settlement agreement. Harvey can facilitate that process during the mediation.
-
Follow-up if needed
In cases where a settlement is close but not finalised on the day, Harvey will follow up with the participants to help bridge any remaining gaps at no additional charge.
Payment Terms
The mediation fee is split equally between the participants unless an alternative arrangement is agreed in advance. Where one participant has agreed to bear the full cost, this will be confirmed in the Agreement to Mediate.
Invoices are issued 7 days before the mediation date and payment is required before the mediation takes place. We accept bank transfer and all major payment methods.
VAT is charged at the standard rate where applicable and is included in the quoted figures above.
Cancellation Policy
14+ days before mediation
Full refund
7 to 14 days before mediation
50% refund

No refund
Cancellation by one participant does not automatically cancel the mediation. If the other participant wishes to proceed with a replacement counterparty, the date can be retained.
